gustav born and grown up in graz living in vienna since 1997, working as an artist co-founder of musical formations: metrosau, motorsau and songs of suspects since end of 2002 focussing on solo-projekt gustav [music production in her living room] "Rettet die Wale" [mosz005] is like all previous mosz releases an artist's first album. Behind the name 'Gustav' hides a female musician with mainly a Fine Arts background. Though the "Rettet die Wale" is quite the opposite of metalycée's "Another White Album" it can also be considered a pop album in a more wide sense. Each piece on this CD is electronically based but structured like a classic popsong (with vocals, chorusses, etc.). They are being put into perspective by the fragile voice of Gustav herself. The german title of the CD might seem kitschy and concerned but this is the kind of humor Gustav uses. In a way all the tracks contain more or less serious lyrics but they are composed with a good sense of humour.
